Robert De Niro set to Play Enzo Ferrari in Biopic

Ferrari fans will be wonder to learn that Robert De Niro will be tackling the role of Enzo Ferrari in a new film about his life. Robert De Niro has starred in such classic films as The Godfather, Goodfellas and Taxi Driver.

Christened Ferrari, the movie will feature the 71-year old actor in the role of Enzo Ferrari, the man who founded the Italian Ferrari sports car brand. De Niro told an Italian newspaper, Il Messaggero, that he will be taking on a role in movie about the famed Italian.

At the moment we know that the biopic will be covered by a wide period of time – from 1945 to the late 1980s. Of course we will also get to see the story behind the Ferrari F40. The film’s budget of the Enzo Ferrari is a great even sweeping Hollywood standards, but the specific amount is not disclosed.

The other interesting bit is that apparently the two-time Oscar awardee may be directed by Clint Eastwood. We will wait for an official confirmation about.
