These iconic American muscle cars were featured in almost every car-centric movie, from “Bullitt” and “Blade” to “Fast and Furious.” The design of the first generation of Charger was introduced in 1968. Over the years the interior and exterior designs of the car underwent several changes, and despite the fact that it was not successful in stock car racing, the model became very popular among car lovers, largely due to its presence in Hollywood blockbusters.

Because there was little special effects (about 10%), there were over 300 vehicles in the film to do all the sequences practically. Over 200 did not make it out in one piece (e.g. due to their usage in collision sequences).
As with Dominic Toretto’s normal vehicle of choice, he “drives” a Dodge Charger (’70) out of an airplane. Of course, modified with such things as military grade parachutes. Nine versions of this car was made for the film and they did indeed have cars drive off a plane
Dominic then “drives” a $3.4M Lykan HyperSport (which has diamonds in its headlights!!!) from skyscraper to skyscraper (let’s assume that this was one of the special effects sequences)
At the end of the film, he drives a very pricey brushed aluminum ’68 Dodge Charger into the sunset.
