2011 Drive/ 2006 Chevrolet Impala

The 2006 CHEVROLET IMPALA is one of the cars seen in 2011 Nicolas Winding Refn’s neo-noir crime thriller film Drive, stars Ryan Gosling as the Driver.

The car appears in very first heist scene. The one of the coolest driving scenes in film by the way.

Probably the most popular rental car in California as it was referred to in film dialogue.

When Driver is obtaining his Chevrolet Impala for the heist, he is told that the stock engine has been swapped for one with over 300 horsepower. In reality, that generation Impala (9th gen) already had an available engine with over 300 hp. The Impala SS came with the 5.3 L LS4 V8 engine producing 303 hp.
